DaBaby has been interested in rap music since his childhood. When he was 6 years old, his parents relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina. This new town was quite challenging because he grew up in an environment where the crime was very generalized, even though he sometimes was engaged in illicit activities like burglary, and violence.
He started rapping on a professional level in 2014, and he started taking music seriously. He released his debut mixtape, “Nonfiction,” and started his music career in 2015.
