Larry David was born on 2 July 1947 in Brooklyn, New York City, United States. He was born into a well-to-do Jewish family. Larry completed his high school education at Sheepshead Bay High School in his hometown. After completing his high school education, he enrolled at the University of Maryland, where he graduated with a major in History. During his college years, Larry discovered his ability to make people laugh without much effort, which aroused his interest in pursuing his career as a comedian. After completing his graduation, he joined the United States Army Reserve. His initial days were full of struggles as he had to move from the Army reserve to do several other jobs, including a limousine driver, a store clerk, and a TV repairman, along with his job as a standup comedian at night.
Larry David attended acting lessons in Manhattan to develop acting skills to help him in the field.
