Barker Travis was born on November 14, 1975, in Fontana, California, United States of America. He was born and raised in a well-settled Christian family. He also follows Christianity and holds American nationality. Bhaskar completed his early education at Fontana High School in his hometown. To pursue further education, he enrolled in a local private university in his hometown, and from there, he completed his graduation.

After completing his graduation, Travis started working as a trashman. In 1994 he was recruited by a band ‘The Aquabats. Later in 1997, he recorded his first album with The Aquabats titled The Fury of Aquabats. He also earned the nickname Baron Von Tito during his tenure with the band. In 1998 he got a breakthrough when he was recruited by the punk rock group, Blink 182 as a drummer. Later because of some tensions between him and the original drummer of the rock group, Barker replaced the original drummer. Blink 182 started to prosper, and he, Hoppue, and DeLonge worked harder than ever to take the group to new heights. Later in 1999, the trio released the album Enema of the State. The album got hit soon after release, and the band became an overnight sensation.
After the album’s massive success, the band started its first tour in late 1999. The band also made a guest appearance in the movie American Pie. Later in 2001, they released their next album titled ‘Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.’ This album became a massive hit and debuted in 1st position on Billboard 200.
